Guided by the mission of helping those in need, it runs programmes in social relief, education, disaster assistance, environmental protection, animal welfare and international humanitarian aid, serving Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Chinese communities worldwide.

How can I verify that China Charitable Foundation is a legitimate charity?
The Foundation is registered under Hong Kong law with society registration number 19/60812 and holds exemption under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (registration no. 91/16758). Are donations to the Foundation tax-deductible?
Yes. Under section 26C of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance, donations to a charity exempt under section 88 qualify for profits tax or salaries tax deduction. Approved charitable donations must total at least HK
00 in a year of assessment, and the deduction is capped at 35% of assessable income or profits.
How soon will I receive a receipt after donating?
We normally issue and send an official tax-exempt receipt that meets Inland Revenue Department requirements within 14 working days of confirming receipt of the donation.
How can I avoid scams impersonating the Foundation?
Always check that you are on the official website, chinacharity.org.hk. The Foundation will never ask for donations or bank card details through private WeChat or WhatsApp messages, and all donations must go to the Foundation's corporate bank account. Any offer of "donation rebates" is a scam — please report it to the police immediately.
What donation methods are available?
You can donate online by credit card (processed securely by Stripe), by bank transfer or by cheque, and you may designate your gift for education, disaster relief, animal welfare or other programmes.
